Dr. Anton Alder, ND
Naturopathic Physician
As a licensed Naturopathic Physician (ND), Dr. Anton uses a wide variety of tools to generate healing from within. As a firm believer that nature knows best, Dr. Anton works together with individuals to restore their innate healing ability. He learned the delicate balance between the art and science of medicine from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine where he graduated Cum Laude as Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in 2017. Prior to naturopathic medical school he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with an emphasis in Neurobiology, from Brigham Young University - Idaho. Throughout his education he served in numerous leadership positions and was recognized for excellence in academia, community service, and extracurricular activities. He has continued to develop new skills by completing training in neuro-emotional technique (NET), activator technique, low dose immunotherapy (LDI), and Fotona lasers. His training in Connecticut allowed him to develop unique skills in generative medicine, pediatrics, and in treating stealth pathogens such as Lyme disease.
An early interest in the medical field afforded Dr. Anton the advantage of experience in working with several types of medicinal professionals. Through shadowing, volunteering, and employment he spent time with lab technicians, radiologists, nurses, physical therapists, chiropractic physicians, acupuncturists, various medical doctors and surgeons located in the hospitals and clinics in the communities where he has lived. Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Anton served in several capacities for the Peterson Clinic.
During his time as assistant to “Dr. Ken” Peterson who practiced as a Chiropractic and Naturopathic Physician, he soon recognized naturopathic medicine as the career of his choice. He remains fiercely dedicated to the profession; lobbying state and federal governments for positive changes in how Naturopathic Physicians are allowed to practice and be compensated, as well as improving patient access and affordability.
While Naturopathic Physicians are trained as clinic based primary care physicians who can diagnose and treat a large variety of conditions, Dr. Anton primarily focuses on chronic conditions and preventative medicine. Common conditions for the patients he treats include: allergies, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease, chronic pain, diabetes, fatigue, fertility, gastrointestinal complaints, kidney disease, sleep disorders, musculoskeletal issues, thyroid disorders and endocrine conditions. Dr Anton embraces the Triangle of Health paradigm of treating the whole person including his specialized training in homeopathy and the Naturopathic approach to pharmaceutical prescriptions and counseling. Dr. Anton happily works hand in hand with other physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and supports you no matter where you are on your health journey.
As father to six energetic children and husband to his incredible wife Patricia, he has a special appreciation for families and family life. Having lost one of his children he understands and respects those who grieve, treating them with the utmost care. Outside the clinic and family time Dr. Anton enjoys a wide variety of extracurricular activities. He enjoys playing practically all sports while sharing a special love for playing tennis, soccer and ice skating. When possible, he is found in the great outdoors fishing, hiking, camping or otherwise enjoying nature.
