Increased risk for hip fracture:

1 year of use 22% increase 2 years of use 44% increase 3 years of use 54% increase

4 years of use 59% increase


 

A 30% increased risk for kidney disease


 


Increased risk infections: bowel, small intestine and pneumonia There may be an increased risk for dementia.
